Career

After starting my career as a system administrator specializing in Linux and web technologies, I transitioned to a leadership role managing a diverse Ops team. I now work as a DevEx Engineer at Materialize, focusing on advanced DevOps practices and the deployment of complex applications.

Materialize

At Materialize, I'm part of the Cloud team, where I focus on empowering developers to use the full potential of our platform. Every day, I work on improving the developer experience by creating tools and resources to help developers get started with Materialize.
My work also involves deployment operations, a collaborative effort to ensure our platform's stability and reliability, including sharing on-call responsibilities to deliver uninterrupted service. I am the creator of the Materialize Terraform provider, which allows users to manage their database objects effortlessly.
Additionally, I developed and maintain our Helm chart for deploying the Materialize Kubernetes operator and maintain multiple Terraform modules that simplify Materialize deployments across GCP, AWS, and Azure. I also developed the Materialize CLI, a tool that simplifies the process of interacting with Materialize along with many other integration tools that help developers get started with Materialize.
Beyond internal initiatives, our engagement with the community remains a cornerstone of our work, as we collaborate with developers to address and resolve challenges together.
